About Jennifer's Music
Music has been my passion for as long as I can remember. I’ve played piano since I was three years old, have gone through the usual exam hoops, and even gave a performance as Elton John at a school concert when I was 13. I’m pretty sure that’s what hooked me on performing. Since moving to Australia, I’ve played keyboard, sang and gigged in many different bands. Some of the covers bands I’ve played in include the Midnight Movers and Motown Magic (we supported Bjorn Again on one of their Sydney tours in the mid-‘90s). I’ve also played in many originals bands, and have been extremely fortunate to have worked with several exceptionally talented songwriters. Originals bands I’ve played in include Hallelujah Man (Sydney), Submarine (Sydney) and Shades of Reason (Canberra). I had the privilege of being one of 700 Voices in a Choral Sea (Sydney Town Hall, 1998) with Ruby Hunter, Archie Roach and many other fabulous performers. I was also a member of Sydney A’Capella group Glory Bound Groove Train. In Canberra, I played and sang at the launch of talented muso Paul Sweeney’s debut album and at the launch of Shades of Reason’s self-titled album. |
